Mallory Madson ’09
Mallory is a senior director of admissions and financial aid at Carthage, and a 2009 graduate. She grew up in Park Ridge, IL and graduated from Maine South High School. Mallory earned her bachelor of arts degree in psychology with a minor in religion. Her husband is also a Carthage alum, graduating in 2007. They currently reside in Franklin, WI with their young son and black lab.
Life before Carthage:
“I’ve worked in enrollment services since 2013 and I am excited to bring my experience back to my alma mater!”
Best college search tip:
“Remember that your college decision is what sets you up for the rest of your life. Visit as many colleges as you can and in the end, go with your heart! This is one of the only chances you have to make YOUR dreams the priority.”
What do you learn from interacting with Carthage students?
“Carthage students are all about the well-rounded experience. They know how to focus on their academics as a priority, yet they make a point to be involved in multiple organizations across campus. They are preparing themselves to be the ideal candidate for their future career.”
What do you value most about working at Carthage?
“What I value most about Carthage is witnessing every person who is a part of this campus, living out the mission: Seeking truth, building strength and inspiring service — together. It is what truly unites us all between the faculty, staff, students and alumni.”
Hobbies:
“I love spending my free time focusing on my family, friends and fitness. A good shopping trip down the Magnificent Mile is another love of mine.”

What would people be surprised to know about you?
“I placed first in the state of Illinois for a competitive swimming event when I was 8 years old. I’m also 25 percent Egyptian!”
Favorite place to eat in Kenosha:
“My two favorite spots to dine in Kenosha are The Coffee Pot and The Wine Knot. Both are located near the harbor which is a beautiful destination spot in itself!”
